“Bandits & Badlands:” great tour, real adventure here (no need for adventure spray to get dirt on the bikes). The motorcycles, KLR650’s are perfect for this environment, very versatile and forgiving, not one of those 2-ton monsters. They are also light when you drop them, right Chris? Also one of the best deals for adventure riding in South America. Chris is very attentive to details and the bikes are in great shape. He'll do everything he can to make you feel at home, ferry you to and from the airport, find altitude medicine, customize the tour..."

"The trip was above and beyond my expectations. Chris from Bolivia Motorcycle Tours (BMT) worked with me in advance to plan a private tour that worked within my schedule and my requirements, namely—seeing as much of northern Bolivia as I could within my schedule AND crossing a border to renew my bike’s Bolivian TVIP. BMT met both goals, and the chosen route was as enjoyable as it was challenging.

While I generally prefer more riding days as opposed to sightseeing or off-bike days, Bolivia is very different from many places I have traveled. The roads are tougher, the travel time is always more--sometimes a lot more--than anticipated, and the days off the bike were an enjoyable and welcome rest. They weren’t wasted, either. Even off the bikes we were always on the go, touring cities or historical sites, or enjoying Lake Titicaca. I saw and learned a lot during the trip.

Chris planned out a challenging route across the Beni Province, and put a ton of effort into making sure that we would be able to cross that route without incident. If the weather changed for the worse, we might have had to make a route change on the fly. Chris checked and double checked the road conditions over the course of several days leading up to that part of the trip to make sure that we wouldn’t end up stranded. In the end, we decided to go for it. The weather held out and we made it, although it was still very challenging, to say the least, but that’s why one rides in Bolivia. It was one of the highlights, for sure.

Chris is very knowledgeable about Bolivia and its culture, has lived in Bolivia and other parts of Latin America for many years, speaks Spanish like a native and knows the geography well. All of that, combined with the fact that he’s a really good guy, make him an excellent moto guide.

I would love to share the Bolivian moto experience with others, and have already planted the seed with a few friends. I have full confidence in recommending BMT for a Bolivian moto tour. There just isn’t a way to be disappointed. Unless you like flawless pavement, that is."

"The group of us went on a custom tour of the core of Bolivia which was 5 full days and 625 miles in a circular route starting at El Torno near Santa Cruz. From the beginning the trip was well planned; we saw great scenery, experienced great food and interspersed with great people. We rode some incredible roads, trails and highways. There is no way to have experienced Bolivia in such an extreme manner than by motorcycle through all the varying terrain, the towns, the cities and the people. The motorcycles were prime for this type of riding. They were maintained meticulously and we had no issues whatsoever with them. Chris knows his stuff. A great ambassador for Bolivia. If there is something you missed, it's because you weren't looking. I would recommend this adventure to anyone wanting to see the true Bolivia; it's an experience not to be missed. If the riding was easy it wouldn't be memorable. I'll be going again!"

Leider reichen 2 Wochen nur um an der Oberfläche dessen, was dieses Landes zu bieten hat, zu kratzen. Chris hat sich stets professionell um die Gruppe gekümmert und so gut es ging versucht unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Insgesamt war diese Tour durch das schlechte Wetter etwas abenteuerlicher als erwartet, aber dadurch auch wesentlich intensiver und am Ende sind alle wohlbehalten wieder in El Torno angekommen."
